dc.description.abstract This study aims at investigating the impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT); particularly the internet, word processor, and e-mail, on the quality of academic written achievements. We hypothesized that students’ use of the previously mentioned technologies would increase their writing achievements. Therefore, we opted for the descriptive quantitative method, as we distributed a questionnaire on 80 randomly selected Master One students of English, and 10 teachers of written expression at the University of Guelma. The final results displayed that the usage and manipulation of such software would enable them to produce correct and high quality compositions. In other words, the numerous online sources available facilitate the collection of information about the writing topics. Moreover, the application of spell check provided by the word processor helps in indicating and automatically correcting errors committed by students as they type their writing tasks. In addition, the e-mail is considered as a communication channel between teachers and their students, in order to send and receive feedback about the written productions. All in all, the findings proved that these technologies together ameliorate students’ final written product, which confirms out hypothesis. en_US
