dc.description.abstract The major objective of this study is to focus on the theme of Happiness in Frances Hodgson Burnett’s The Secret Garden. Therefore, the present work’s goals are to shed light on the remarkable transformation of the main characters in every part of their journey and to prove the role of nature as a decisive element in this positive change. Also, a significant part is devoted to introduce the genius writer and the motive to write her masterpiece. Adequately, the thesis employs two main literary theories namely the Archetypal theory and Ecocriticism which are used to prove the process of happiness among the protagonists of the novel. By analyzing all this, the thesis comes to explore the theme of happiness as the major characters of The Secret Garden end up to be finally happy. en_US
