Résumé:
The present study aims to investigate teachers’ and learners’ attitudes towards using Realia in
developing students’ Intercultural Knowledge. An online questionnaire was administered to 136
third-year learners from the Department of English at 8 Mai 1945 University, Guelma, to collect
quantitative data about their perspectives regarding the influence of Realia on their intercultural
knowledge development. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 teachers from the
same department to collect qualitative data about their views on the topic under investigation. The
findings reveal positive attitudes from both students and teachers towards using Realia in
developing intercultural knowledge among students. Finally, this research suggests several
pedagogical implications for policymakers, teachers, and learners to ensure an effective learning
environment and facilitate the process of teaching and learning for both teachers and learners.
