Abstract: The main concern of this dissertation is to examine Iraqi situation after U.S. withdrawal since 2011. It deals with the real situation of Iraq and Iraqis after the war on all sides socially, politically and economically. The main conclusion of this dissertation is that U.S. invasion of Iraq started on the basis of bringing democracy and human rights and ended with the violation of those rights, distraction and chaos. To reach this conclusion, the dissertation starts with the examination of the prewar conditions divided on two main periods. On the one hand, the dissertation deals with U.S. foreign policy toward Middle Eastern countries and mainly Iraq before 9/11 attacks. It deals also with U.S. views about Iraq which would contribute in the decision to wage war. On the other hand, the dissertation deals with the abrupt change in U.S. foreign policy toward some countries including Iraq after 9/11 attacks which led to U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003.
