Abstract: | The current dissertation sheds light on the Partition Plan, or United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181, and its significant influence on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The study reveals the historical background that led up to 1947, delving into the creation and ratification of Resolution 181, as well as the impact on the geopolitical environment of the area. The research attempts to offer a comprehensive explanation of the UN involvement in carrying out the Partition Plan and its long-lasting effects. This study highlights the difficulties involved in the capacities and constraints of international institutions in resolving territorial and national disputes. |
