Abstract: The past few years witnessed a drastic change concerning the use of technology in both educational and non-educational context. Netflix, which becomes one of the most popular streaming services, may not be a vehicle for entertainment only. However, this platform can extend to a learning tool. The current research aims at exploring students’ perceptions with regard to the role that Netflix may play in their vocabulary learning. Hence, it is hypothesized that students may have a positive attitude towards the use of Netflix in enhancing their vocabulary learning. In order to reach this end, the study adopted a descriptive quantitative method in which a questionnaire was administered to 170 third year students at the department of English at Guelma University. Results obtained from the data gathered show the students’ high tendency to use Netflix to foster their English level. More importantly, they have positive attitude towards the impact of Netflix on their vocabulary learning. Following that, some recommendations are provided to help incorporate Netflix into the teaching/learning process.
