Title: Comparing the Presidential Responses to the Great Depression and Covid 19 during Herbert Hoover, Franklin Roosevelt, and Donald Trump Presidencies

Abstract: Great Depression and Covid 19 pandemic were the worst economic crises that America passed by and caused a collapse on all levels; society, economy, politics, and health system as well. The Great Depression came as transformational scene in the life of the American people as result of the severe damage caused to its economic side and also Covid 19. At first, the virus was just a public health crisis, but now it becomes a serious economic problem that has deteriorated the general condition of America. This research aims to tackle Covid 19 pandemic and Great Depression as major economic crises in the U.S since the breakout challenges touched areas including finance, health, macroeconomics, politics and society. In this context, this study aims to analyze the reasons behind this shock and the impact that occurred on other fields, and the measures that were taken to solve both crises and additional political actions and resolutions that were used by Herbert Hoover, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Donald trump during their presidency to soften the impact of these crises on U.S society.
