Résumé:
This project focuses on the development of a low-cost, high-precision 3D scanning
machine designed to transform physical objects into detailed 3D models. The study begins
with an exploration of mesh generation and 3D scanning technologies, examining their
history, applications, challenges, and recent innovations. The project then delves into the
technical design of a specific 3D scanner, detailing the electronic and mechanical components.
Point cloud data is generated and processed through a series of phases, from scanning to
mesh reconstruction. A Python program is employed to convert raw data into 3D coordinates
and visualize the resulting point cloud. The final stage involves transforming the point cloud
into a 3D mesh. This innovation aims to provide accessible 3D scanning solutions for
industries like digital design, film production, mechanical construction, and 3D printing, with
the potential to significantly reduce modeling time and cost.
