Abstract: The present paper aims at examining the importance of the ICTs in the development of cultural tourism in Algeria. This will be tackled mainly by comparing and contrasting Algeria, on the one hand, with Tunisia and Morocco on the other: two neighboring countries where tourism industry is much more developed. The comparative perspective adopted will help us highlight the cultural potential of Algeria, and the effects linked to the (non)use of the ICTs regarding their increasing importance in the sector. In this regard, the paper will focus on aspects linked to two major dimensions: 1) accommodation and 2) National Tourism Offices Websites. Such analysis allows highlighting some of the drawbacks that contribute in hindering the development of tourism, and that accordingly need to be assessed and revised if Algeria is willing to secure a place in a highly competitive and fast growing sector
