This study focused on the valorization of residual sludge from wastewater treatment plants through an integrated approach: microbiological, energetic, and agricultural. The experiment resulted in the production of biogas (methane and hydrogen) and electricity generation via a microbial fuel cell (MFC). The digestate from the experiment, which was rich in nutrients, was analyzed to determine its heavy metal content for safe agricultural use. The results demonstrate the potential of these sludges as a sustainable resource, promoting circular economy and energy transition.en_US
